Music Shakers is based on the following key principles: 1. All children are inherently musical, being able to sing and move with rhythm, and to communicate and express themselves through music.
2. Parents and caregivers are a child's most important influence, and their active participation, even if they doubt their own ability, is critically important for their child's musical development.
3. Musical education is most effective when offered in a fun, play-based learning environment that combines a rich diversity of accessible music and movement experiences and emphasizes individual creativity and group participation rather than being focused on individual performance.
